The Golden Ratio

The 1.618 ratio creates natural harmony in dial proportions. Index spacing, subdial placement, and date window positioning all benefit from this ancient principle — used by Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Sohne, and every great maison.

Set dial diameter to 28.5 mm with indices at 82% radius for optimal golden-ratio balance.
